We Create Our Own Custom Tooling
As you know, the need for custom tooling often contributes to longer lead times. Because our team makes custom tooling in-house, we’re able to deliver superior quality without delays.
With over 30 years of experience, we’re adept at making our own carbide tooling for crush grinding complex parts. We begin by customizing a roll to hold multiple features or even the entire form of a part, and then we transfer that form onto a grinding wheel in a single step.
When forming a wheel with a diamond tool & cam, custom cams are designed and made in our wire EDM department.
Every custom-crafted crush roll can last for many thousands of parts before it needs to be sharpened. And when the time comes for sharpening, we do that in-house, too, saving you time and money compared to the alternative of outsourcing this service.
